Call for Abstract

Through four session we aim to explore the complexity of the current challenges of rural and mountain areas, emphasizing their different and multifaceted dimensions, to discuss research on multidisciplinary topics, and to compare results and issues of the dialogue between disciplines.

We particularly invite doctoral students and early-stage researchers to present papers on research results and ongoing investigations, stressing the methodological aspects, their challenges, or their applicative meaning.
Contribution regarding historical, environmental, socio-political, economic, engineering, sociological and legal perspectives are warmly welcome as well as interdisciplinary approaches to the topic.

By encouraging multi-disciplinarity, we hope to offer a fruitful occasion of scientific debate, to reinforce scientific network on the study of rural and mountain areas, and to contribute to bridge the gap between academic research and third parties, i.e., citizen, policymakers, the private and public sectors.

                                                                                HOW TO PARTICIPATE

The call is particularly open to doctoral students and early-stage researchers from the international scientific community. The 4 conference sessions enclose topics that can be addressed by various disciplines, such as:

Session III. Political Sciences, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mathematical Modelling, Law (among others)
Session IV. Environmental Economics, Landscape Architecture, Sociology (among others)

The scientific committee emphasises the importance of clearly defining aims, approaches and analytical methods of the research to be submitted, as well as the potential for the papers to stimulate the debate.
